I graduated November 2023 from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), where I received the Master in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc). Throughout this program, I completed 4200 hours of education, 1000 hours of clinical training, as well as 300 hours in school community involvement. In December, I became a member of OstCan (Osteopathy Canada), which holds to the highest standards of Osteopathic Manual Therapy. As an osteopathic manual practitioner, I strive to develop my skills and help a wide variety of patients.
Having lived in Haldimand county for a few years now after growing up in Hamilton, I am looking forward to getting to know the community, and helping many people with efficient and effective osteopathic treatment.
Book an AppointmentOsteopathy is a gentle hands-on therapy where treatments restore normal motions mechanics in the body. The goal is to help the body function as a dynamic unit and improve drainage and supply of blood and other fluids in the body. This helps the body self-heal and self-regulate, according to its natural physiological capabilities.
Osteopathy can help with many kinds of physical ailments and complaints. We aim to treat the body as a whole, and to find health, and open up the passageways in the body so that there is overall improved health.
A few of the common complaints osteopathy can help with include:
No, a doctor’s referral is not needed for treatment. That being said, if you have a serious injury or diagnosis, please get the appropriate medical treatment before booking an osteopathic treatment.
A doctor’s note for permission to receive manual therapy may be requested if you have an undiagnosed condition,if there are red flags, or a high risk factor.
Most insurance companies will cover osteopathic treatments. Check with your insurance provider to see if osteopathy is included in your benefits package!
We ask that you wear loose, comfortable clothing, but nothing too bulky. Please leave any large jewelry, watches, belts, hair accessories/hats at home. We don't want you to forget these items in the clinic, since for safety purposes you will be asked to remove them prior to treatment.
You may experience some soreness, headaches, tiredness or general joint/muscle discomfort. This is normal and should subside within a couple of days. If you do not experience these symptoms that is also normal! Everyone’s bodies react differently to treatment and this does not mean the treatment wasn’t effective.
